Team News –
WI W –
– West Indies whitewashed the Pakistani team in the T20s but it might not be the case in ODIs as both teams haven’t played much ODI Cricket recently with Windies team playing their last game in Nov 2019.
– West Indies have rested Chinelle Henry for the 1st 2 ODIs and named a 13 member squad.
– Teams Important players are Stephanie Taylor, Deandra Dottin and Hayley Mathews, all will be important with both bat as well as bowl however Dottin didn’t bowled in T20 series.
– Hayley Mathews and Deandra Dottin will be the openers of team. Both are big hitters and have capability to win the match by their own. Mathews has been the 2nd Highest run getter for Windies since the 2017 world cup.
– Captain Taylor will bat at 1 down. Team’s success this series will depend most on the top three. Taylor has been the highest scorer of team since 2017 with an average of 49. She took a hattrick in last t20 game.
– Team has a very weak middle order with likes of Kycia Knight who will keep the Wickets. Chedean Nation can play some attacking strokes but is very inconsistent. Knight played good knocks in t20 series.
– Anisa Mohammad, Hayley Mathews and Stephanie Taylor will be the spin option for the team.
– Shakera Selman, S Connell and Aaliyah Alleyne/C Issac will lead the pace attack. Dottin didn’t bowled in t20 series.
PAK W –
– Pakistan team lost the t20 series and will also be on the weaker side in the ODIs. They have won just 1 of the last 5 h2h games against the Windies women.
– Team can bring the performing players of A team like Ayesha Zafar and Omaima Sohail in the team after the Failure of Muneeba Ali and Javeria Rauf.
– Kainat Imtiaz can get a game after her impressive performance in the A games against the Windies A team.
– Captain Khan will open along with Muneeba Ali. Javeria Khan is one of the most experienced player of the team with 2700+ ODI runs but looked very much out of touch in the T20 series with just 13 runs in 3 games. In form Ayesha Zafar can also open shifting Muneeba Ali at 1 down.
– Iram Jayed batted 1 down in last t20 but looked very much rusty. Omaima Sohail can play at this position in this game.
– Nida Dar will bat next followed by Ayesha Naseem and Aliya Riaz. All of them are good hitters of the ball especially Riaz and Ayesha Naseem.
– Anam Amin, Nida Dar and Nashra Sandhu will handle the spin department of the team. Amin was wicketless but is an excellent bowler.
– Diana Baig, Aliya Riaz and Fatima Sana will be the pace attack of team.
