– Leeward Island will be lead by Devon Thomas this season. Leeward had 6 wins in 8 group stage games and lost in the final only to WI Emerging team.
– Devon Thomas is in UAE playing T10 Cricket so is unlikely to feature in the opening game.
– Kieran Powell and M Hodge will likely opem for the Leeward’s. Powell was the highest scorer last season with 2 100s and 2 50s while his partner Hodge has scored 4000+ runs in List A format.
– Nitish Kumar will bat 1 down. He is a Canadian Cricketer who can also bowl some part time off spin.
– Amir Jangoo will keep the Wickets and bat next at 2 down. He had a good last season where he scored 215 runs including 2 half centuries.
– Terrence Warde will bay next followed by K Carty or Archibald. Both of them can also play. Carty if play will bat at 2 down.
– Hayden Walsh and A Nedd will be the spin options for Leewards team. Both have good experience of playing CPL while Hayden Walsh has also played International Cricket.
– Jeremiah Louis, Q Boatswain and S Berridge will be leading the pace attack. Archibald can assist them with his Left arm pace.
WNI –
– Windward Islands had a bad 2019 Super50 Cup with 2 wins in their 8 group stage games. They will be looking for a bit of redemption this season with players like Sunil Ambris and Andre Fletcher with them.
– Sunil Ambris, Andre Fletcher and Obed McCoy will not be available for the opening few Fletcher and McCoy due to T10 and Ambris due to Bangladesh tour. Unsure about Ambris yet.
– Young Kimani Melius and Desron Maloney will open the innings. Both are extremely attacking Batsman as seen in the Vincy T10 leagues.
– Alick Athanaze will bat 1 down followed by Roland Cato at 4. Athanaza can also contribute through his off spin. Cato has good experience as he has played 22 one-day games scoring 400+ runs.
– Emmanuel Stewart will keep the Wickets, Allrounder Keron Cottoy will follow him next. Cottoy had a very good last season where he scored 185 runs and also picked 7 Wickets.
– Experienced Kevin Stoute and Kenneth Dember will bat next. Stoute has 1000+ runs along with 30 Wickets in 52 one-day games played. Dember can be promoted due to his hitting abilities.
– Stoute along with Ray Jordan, R John and P McSween will handle the pace attack.
