– Marcus Stoinis and Andre Fletcher will open the innings for the stars. Stoinis has been in some form from the IPL However his bowling is still under doubt. 
Fletcher is the new signing of stars who can hit the ball big.
 
– Hilton Cartwright will bat at 1 down. Cartwright gave a match winning performance of 42 in yesterday’s game for the Stars.
 
– Hard hitting Ben Dunk will bat 2 down. Dunk has the ability to hit the ball big. He stroke the ball at 160 in the PSL with 300 runs.
 
– Glenn Maxwell will bat at 3 down followed by Larkin. Maxwell is in some form after a desastrous IPL season. Nick Larkin was a positive for stars last season where he scored around 300 runs with 2 50s.
 
– Adam Zampa and Clint Hinchcliffe will be leading the spin department assisted by Glenn Maxwell. Hinchcliffe bowled in powerplay in yesterday’s game.
 
– Nathan Coulter Nile, Billy Stanlake and Dilbar Hussain will handle the pace attack. Coulter Nile took 4 Wickets last game.

– Sydney Thunders will kick of their BBL against Melbourne Stars against whom they lost all the three games last season but are looking but after the addition of Ben Cutting this season.
 
– Usman Khawaja and Alex Hales both will open the innings. Both of them form a very strong opening pair. Hales was 2nd highest scorer last season.
 
– Calumn Ferguson will bat 1 down. Ferguson has a lot of experience of BBL with h However has a poor record against Stars with just 76 runs in 8 games.
 
– Alex Ross will bat at 2 down followed by Gilkes at 3 who will also keep the Wickets.
 
– Ben Cutting and Daniel Sams will do the late hitting for the thunders. Both can be promoted.
