– South African team were whitewashed by the English team in the t20 series and they are looking even more weak in the ODI series in the absence of Faf Du Plessis and Kagiso Rabada who are injured.
– Quinton de Kock will lead the team and open the innings along with Janneman Malan. De Kock had a decent t20 series with 3 30+ scores . Malan is a quality Batsman averaging 76 in ODI Cricket.
– JJ Smuts / Temba Bavuma will likely bat at 1 down. Smuts have a slight edge over Bavuma due to his bowling advantage.
– Van der Dussen will bat at 2 down. Dussen is a quality batsman who can bat long as well as attack when needed. He smashed 74 runs in the 3rd t20i of just 32 balls.
– Kyle Verreynne and David Miller(if plays) will hold the middle order. George Linde will follow them. Linde has been excellent with his bat in both games in the t20 series at the end.
– Andile Phehlukwayo will bat next following Miller. Phehlukwayo is a genuine Allrounder who can hit the ball big and will be a big cintributer through his bowling.
– Tabraiz Shamsi will lead the spin attack. George Linde will assist him. Linde was very good in the t20 series with both bat and bowl and will surely earm his ODI cap.
– Anrich Nortje, Lundi Ngidi and Andile Phehlukwayo will lead the pace attack. Nortje was in his peak form this IPL and will be the head of pace bowling in absence of Rabada.

– England won the T20 series 3-0 and are favorates to win the ODI series as well. England have rested Jofra Archer, Ben Stokes and Sam Curran for the ODI series, while Joe Root and Chris Woakes will be back .
– Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy will open the innings in ODIs. Both attacks from word go especially Bairstow who is in his peak form from IPL. Roy is struggling to score.
– Joe Root will bat at 1 down. Root is back after resting in the t20 series. He can also contribute through bowling.
– Captain Eoin Morgan will bat next at 2 down. Morgan is not a player to introduce his hitting abilities are world known and is coming after a very good IPL season.
– Jos Buttler and Sam Billings will be Batting at 3 and 4 down respectively. Buttler scored a match winning 50 in last t20. Billings has been very good for the English team in the lower order.
– Moeen Ali will bat next followed by Chris Woakes. England bat very deep even Tom Curran can bat.
– Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali will lead the spin attack. Rashid took 3 Wickets in the t20 series
– Mark Wood, Tom Curran and Chris Woakes will be leading the pace attack. Wood will be the player to watch out due to his pace and bounce.
