Team News –
REN –
– Melbourne Renegades are having even worst outing than last season with just 1 win in their 7 games. They lost their last game badly by 96 runs against the Scorchers.
– Renegades are now in even worst situation as their Star Batsman Shaun Marsh is out for this game as well as Rilee Rossouw will not play due to a hamstring injury.
– Captain Aaron Finch will open the Innings along with Sam Harper. Finchy is on his peak form being the highest white ball scorer this year but haven’t looked that impressive in the BBL. Harper is known for his attacking batting and was brilliant with 62 against the hurricanes but overall had a below average season.
– Young Mackenzie Harvey will bat at 1 down. Harvey will be preferred choice in this game as both Marsh and Rousseau are absent.
– Beau Webster will bat in middle followed by Mohammad Nabi. Webster and Nabi has to take a lot of responsibility in the absence of Marsh and Rousseau.
– Mohammad Nabi, Noor Ahmad, Peter Hatzoglou and Imad Wasim will be handling the spin duties. Hatzoglou has been brilliant picking up Wickets with same consistency every game.
– Kane Richardson, Jack Prestwidge and Will Sutherland will be leading the pace attack.
STR –
– Jake Weatherald and Philip Salt will open the innings. Weatherald scored a brilliant match winning 68 in 2nd game and 34 in last game while Salt has always been a hit miss candidate.
– Weatherald batted in middle order last game while Renshaw opened the innings. Team can again make a swap as Renshaw failed at the opening position.
– Matt Renshaw will bat 1 down. Renshaw had a very good season for the Heat last year but was still traded for the Strikers. He haven’t made a big impact as of now but is a very good player.
– Captain Alex Carey will bat 2 down. Carey will also keep the Wickets. He scored a brilliant 82 last game against the Scorchers 2 games before.
– Jono Wells will bat next at 3 down. Wells was among the top 5 scorers last season and will be an important pick in case of top order failure. He scored 66 last game.
– Rashid Khan and Danny Briggs will lead the spin department. Briggs is highest Wicket taker in English domestic Cricket. Rashid picked 3 Wickets last game.
– Wes Agar, Peter Siddle and Daniel Worrall will be leading the pace attack for Adelaide. Siddle is the 2nd Highest Wicket taker of team with Agar being the leading Wicket taker.
