Team News –
KKR –
– KKR lost their last game against DC and now are in a must win situation. From their remaining 7 games they need to win atleast 6 games for any chance of making to the playoffs.
– Team’s likely foreign players will be Eoin Morgan, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine and Tim Southee/Lochie Ferguson.
– Shubham Gill and Nitish Rana will open the Innings. Gill has been completed out of form this tournament and is unable to middle the ball, he scored 43 last game. He can score due to a big break now.
– Young Tripathi will bat at 1 down. He is a aggressive player and was brilliant in 1st game where he scored 59 runs but is very inconsistent.
– Captain Morgan will bat at 2 down followed by Dinesh Karthik. Morgan is having a disastrous IPL this year and haven’t crossed even 100 run mark in his 7 games played.
– Andre Russell will bat next and play the role of finisher. He smashed 47 of just 27 balls with 4 massive sixes against DC but is Batting very low according to his standards.
– Varun Chakravarthy, Sunil Narine will handle the spin section. Varun is bowling in powerplay in all games.
– Tim Southee/Lochie Ferguson, Shivam Mavi/Prasidh Krishna and Andre Russell will lead the pace attack.
RCB –
– RCB are in a very strong position in the IPL this season with 5 wins in 7 games and are looking clear favorates to win this contest.
– Team has made a lot of changes in their foreign options. RCB has brought in Wanindu Hasaranga for Adam Zampa along with his country man Dushmantha Chameera for Daniel Sams. George Garton has also been named as a replacement for Kane Richardson. Young Tim David has replaced kiwi opener Finn Allen.
– Virat Kohli will open along with Devdutt Padikkal. Paddikal has been in red hot form in Syed Mushtaq as well as Vijay Hazare trophy and scored his maiden ton last 2nd game against RR but failed to score in other 2. Virat waa looking slightly rusty in the 1st phase but is a big player and can score anyday.
– Rajat Patidar/M Azharuddin/Kona Bharat will bat at 1 down. All three are excellent hitters and have been excellent in the nets. Azhar scored a brilliant 50 in 1 of the practice games.
– Glenn Maxwell will bat at 2 down followed by AB De Villiers at 5. Maxwell has been brilliant in the 1st 3 games so far being team’s highest run getter but failed to score big in other 4 games. AB scored a ton in the practice game recently
– Wanindu Hasaranga, Kyle Jamieson along with Shahbaz Ahmed will play the role of Allrounders. Shahbaz can also bat in top 3 as he did in few games in 1st phase.
– Yuzi Chahal , Wanindu Hasaranga and Shahbaz Ahmed will handle the spin section. Glenn Maxwell can assist them with his off spin.
– Kyle Jamieson, Harshal Patel, Mohammad Siraj will be the pace attack of RCB. Harshal patel is the purple cap holder for this season.
