Team News –
NZW –
– Hayley Jensen and Lauren Down will open the innings. Jenson failed to adapt with fast bowling and failed to score in the entire t20 series as well as was out on duck in the 1st ODI, she finally scored above 20 in the last game. Down was brilliant with 90 in the opening ODI but was out on duck in the 2nd.
– Amy Sattherwaite will bat at 1 down. Amy is team most experienced Cricketer and her form will decide the fate of their team. She was out cheaply but took a Wicket with bowl.
– Amelia Kerr and Brooke Halliday will handle the middle order. Brooke Halliday was very impressive last series with both bat and bowl and after demoting her team finally made a good decision and promoted her in the batting order.
– Keeper Katey Martin and Maddy Green will follow Kerr and Halliday.
– Amelia Kerr, Leigh Kasperek and Amy Sattherwaite will lead the spin section for New Zealand. Kasperek was brilliant with her best figures taking 6 for 46.
– Jess Kerr, Hannah Rowe and Hayley Jensen will be the pace options with the team.
AUSW –
– The Aussies aftet winning the t20s won the ODI series as well with a game to spare taking their massive winning streak to 23.
– Australia can make a couple of changes in the team as they have already won the series. They can bring in young pacer Darcie Brown, also Belinda Vakareva can get a game. They can rest Megan Shutt.
– Allysa Healy and Rachel Haynes will open the Innings. Healy attacks irrespective of the format. She Scored 65 in the 1st ODI and 44 in the 2nd after failure in t20 series, Haynes Averages 50+ in ODIs and was brilliant the other day missing her ton by 13 runs.
– Captain Lanning will bat at 1 down. She is among the best batters in white ball Cricket and is in red hot form scoring 450+ runs in WBBL 2020. She averages 50+ in ODIs and was looking good for her 49 in last game.
– Ellyse Perry will bat next followed by Beth Mooney and Ashleigh Gardner. Perry is not bowling much but is looking as dominating as always with the bat. Gardner scored another quickfire 50 in 1st game but was out on 19 in the last game.
– Georgia Wareham and Jess Jonassen will handle the spin section. Ashleigh Gardner can assist them. Wareham took 2 while Jonassen 3 Wickets in the last game.
