NZ –
– New Zealand are among the top 3 t20 sides and are coming by winning the t20 Series against a Strong West Indies lineup.
– Team will be without Kane Williamson, Tim Southee and Trent Boult for the 1st t20 ,however a 11th hour injury to Lochie Ferguson is a bit of concern for the Kiwis who will also not be a part of 1st T20.
– Experienced Martin Guptill will open along with Tim Siefert. Guptill’s form is a bit of concern for the Kiwis also Siefert hasn’t been consistent for them.
– Glenn Philips will bat at 1 down. Phillips for exceptional in the last series against West Indies where he was leading run scorer along with a hundred to his list.
– Devon Conway will bat 2 down followed by Mark Chapman. Conway had a brilliant debut Series where he was 2nd top scorer with a SR of 160. Chapman has been added to the XI in expense of Ross Taylor.
– Jimmy Neesham and Mitchell Santner will do the allround duties. Both can hit the ball big and will be very important through bowl also.
– Ish Sodhi and Mitchell Santner will lead the spin attack. Chapman can also get a over or 2.
– Jacob Duffy, Doug Bracewell , Scott Kuggeleijn and Jimmy Neesham will be the pace attack leading the team.
PAK –
– Pakistan are coming to New Zealand whitewashing team Zimbabwe at home 3-0. They will however have a tough competitor in form of New Zealand who are very strong as compared to Zimbabwe.
– Babar Azam has been ruled out of the T20 series while Shadab Khan’s availability for the 1st game is also in doubt due to a groin injury.
– Abdullah Shafiq and Haider Ali will open the innings for Pakistan. Both are young and inexperienced but can Smash the ball big especially Haider who scored his debut 50 against England recently.
– The Professor Mohammad Hafeez will bat 1 down. Hafeez has shown that age is just a number by his resent form again England and also in the national T20.
– Khushdil Shah and Faheem Ashraf will bat in middle. Both Khushdil and Iftikhar can bowl. Khushdil smashed fastest century in domestic Cricket recently.
– Mohammad Rizwan will likely bat 3 down. He had an excellent National T20 with 4 50s in 12 games. Rizwan will also keep the Wickets.
– Imad Wasim will lead the spin attack along with Shadab or Usman Qadir.
– Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Hasnain, Wahab Riaz/Haris Rauf and Faheem Ashraf will lead the pace attack for Pakistan.
