– The Hurricanes lost the last game against the the Stars by a mere margin of 10 runs. They will look to win this one however this won’t be easy against a strong Thunders squad.
– D’Arcy Short and Ben McDermott will open for the hurricanes. Short has the highest impact rate when it comes to the BBL and contributes through both bat and bowl , but haven’t been very effective this year.
– McDermott has been one of the key players of the team this season and scored 277 runs in 6 games.
– David Malan will bat 1 down. Malan is world’s best t20 batsman currently and has scored highest runs this year. He scored 75 in last 2nd game.
– Peter Handscomb will bat at 2 down. Handscomb will be a important part of the Hobart middle order but haven’t performed according to his standards yet. He will also keep the Wickets.
– Experienced Colin Ingram will bat at 3 down. Ingram provides a lot of Balance to the team and is among top 5 scorers of this season.
– Tim David will bat in middle order. David has been exceptional this BBL with a strike rate of 170+. He has been very consistent this season.
– Sandeep Lammichhane, D’Arcy Short and Johan Botha will lead the spin attack for the hurricanes.
– Riley Meredith, Nathan Ellis, Scott Boland will be the 3 men pace attack of hurricanes. Nathan Ellis took 3 Wickets last game.

– Sydney Thunders have been placed 2nd in the table with 5 wins in their 6 games. They will be no doubt favorates starting the game, however have got a huge blow in form of Daniel Sams who is rested due to a concussion in last game.
– Usman Khawaja and Alex Hales both will open the innings. Both of them form a very strong opening pair. Hales was 2nd highest scorer last season amd have already scored 243 runs at an impressive strike rate of 176.
– Calumn Ferguson will bat 1 down. Ferguson has a lot of experience of BBL and is one among the top 5 scorers in BBL history and also scored 243 runs this season.
– Sam Billings will bat at 2 down followed by Oliver Davies at 3. Billings will also keep the Wickets. Davies was brilliant in his first 2 outing hitting 8 maximum’s.
– Ben Cutting will do the late hitting for the thunders. Cutting has an important task in absence of Sams.
– Chris Green, Tanveer Sangha will be handling the spin attack. Green mostly bowls 1-2 overs in powerplay. Tanveer has been brilliant with 13 Wickets this season.
– Nathan McAndrew, Chris Tremain, Adam Mine and Ben Cutting will lead the pace attack of Sydney. Tremain and Milne will bowl in death.
