STR –
– Alex Carey is back for the Strikers and it is a big boost for them after failure of their Batting last game against the same opponents.
– Jake Weatherald and Philip Salt will open the innings. Weatherald finally played Cricket after taking a big mental break last game and was out on 1. Salt had a good BBL last season where he scored 350+ runs.
– Matt Renshaw will bat 1 down. Renshaw had a very good season for the Heat last year but was still traded for the Strikers. He scored 33 and also bowled 2 overs last game.
– Alex Carey will bat at 2 down. Carey is one of the best players in BBL history with over 1100 runs and will also keep the Wickets.
– Jono Wells will bat next at 3 down. Wells was among the top 5 scorers last season and will be an important pick in case of top order failure.
– Rashid and Danny Briggs will lead the spin department. Briggs is highest Wicket taker in English domestic Cricket.
– Wes Agar, Peter Siddle and Daniel Worrall will be leading the pace attack for Adelaide.
HUR –
– The Hurricanes won both their opening games this season and are looking very strong especially in their batting.
– Ben McDermott has been added in the squad and will be directly drafted into the XI.
– D’Arcy Short and Will Jacks will open for the hurricanes. Short has the highest impact rate when it comes to the BBL and contributes through both bat and bowl. Short was out on 72 last game.
– Experienced Colin Ingram will bat at 1 down. Ingram provides a lot of Balance to the team. He scored 54 in 1st game and 25 in last game.
– Young Ben McDermott Will bat at 2 down. McDermott is one of the key players of the team and is back after scoring a brilliant ton against India A.
– Pater Handscomb will bat at 3 down. Handscomb will be a important part of the brittle Hobart middle order. He will also keep the Wickets.
– Tim David will bat in middle order. Wright scored 2 50s in 5 games last BBL. David was exceptional last 2nd game with his 58 of just 33 balls.
– James Faulkner will do the late hitting and will contribute through both bat and bowl.
– Johan Botha and Will Jacks will likely handle the spin attack. Botha bowled brilliantly in the powerplay for his 2 Wickets last game.
– Riley Meredith, Nathan Ellis, Scott Boland and James Faulkner will be the 4 men pace attack of hurricanes. Faulkner has taken 5 while Meredith took 4 Wickets in last 2 games.
