Team News –
ENGW –
– England continued their excellent form with a massive win of 46 over the white ferns in 1st t20 at Chemsford.

– Skipper Heather Knight didn’t played last game due to some niggle and not sure will play in 2nd game as well. Anya Shrubsole was also rested in 1st game.

– Emma Lamb will be available for the 1st t20 only while Maia Bouchier and Charlie Dean will be available from the 2nd t20i.

– Tammy Beaumont and Danni Wyatt will open the innings. Both are very aggressive and technically strong as well. Danni was amongst the top scorers this Hundred. Tammy Beaumont was out on 97 and fell short by 3 runs for her t20 ton last game.

– Natalie Sciver the star Allrounder will bat at 1 down. Knight if plays will follow her at no 4. Sciver has been struggling lately with both bat and bowl and haven’t performed on her highest potential.

– Amy Jones will bat next followed by Sophie Dunkley and Katherine Brunt. Amy will keep the Wickets. Dunkley has been assigned the role of finisher and has very good striking ability.

– Sophie Ecclestone, Maddy Villiers and Sarah Glenn will lead the spin attack.

– Katherine Brunt, Natalie Sciver and Tash Farrant will lead the pace bowling for England.

NZW –
– New Zealand haven’t been on their best from their exit from the world cup and haven’t won any series from then. They started this t20 series with a big 46 run loss in the 3 match series.

– Form of Suzie Bates and Sophie Devine is a concern for them as they are making their return after a long time.

– Amelia Kerr has opted out of the tour to take care of her mental health and well-being , which is a big blow to the team.

– Sophie Devine will open along with Suzie Bates. Devine is back after missing the last series and the Hundred competition. Bates need no introduction and is one of the top scorers in t20 cricket and also has scored 400+ runs against the English team. Both were out cheaply last game.

– Amy Satterthwaite and Katey Martin will bat in middle followed by Maddy Green and Brooke Halliday. Amy will be extremely important in the brittle middle order. She was good with her 43 last game.

– Leigh Kasperek will have to lead the spin attack in absence of Amelia Kerr. Amy Satterthwaite will assist her with her off break.

– Sophie Devine, Lee Tahuhu/T Newton, Jess Kerr and Hayley Jenson will lead the pace attack. Bowling of Suzie Bates is still a question.
