– England won the t20 series 3-0 and will look to do the game against a weak Lankan team
 
– Jos Buttler have been ruled out of the series with a calf injury, while Jason Roy who didn’t played last T20 game due to a hamstring pull will also most likely miss rhe 1st game.
 
– Dawid Malan and Liam Livingston will look to show their talent in absence of Roy, Stokes and Buttler.
 
– Jonny Bairstow and Dawid Malan will open the innings. Both were in good form this Blast. Malan scored a brilliant 76 while Bairstow 51 in last T20 against Sri Lanka.
 
– Joe Root is back as it’s ODI Cricket and will bat at 1 down. Root has played some blast games recently scored 49 and 15 also picking 2 Wickets.
 
– Morgan will bat at 2 down followed by Sam Billings who will be important in case of another top order failure.
 
– Liam Livingston, Chris Woakes and Sam Curran will play the Allrounders role in absence of Stokes.
 
– Adil Rashid , Moeen Ali and Liam Livingston will lead the spin attack. Rashid continued his good form in white ball Cricket with 4 Wickets in T20 series.
 
– Mark Wood, Sam Curran and Chris Woakes will lead the pace attack. Sam Curran took 5 while Wood 3 Wickets in the T20 series.
 
SL –
– Sri Lanka were whitewashed by English team in the T20 series and the equation looks to be similar in the ODIs as well. Sri Lanka has a big 24 men squad to choose from.
 
– Dhanushka Dunathilaka, Kusal Mendis and Niroshan Dickwella have been suspended due to a bio bubble breach and will not be a part of the ODI series.
– Oshada Fernando and Kusal Perera will be the openers for Lanka. Perera was highest scorer of team again Bangladesh recently. Fernando is an attacking batsman but is not getting much chances to show his talent. He Averages 37 in FC with 5000+ runs.Perera will keep the Wickets.

 

– Pathum Nissanka the much talked player in Sri lankan domestic circuit will bat at 1 down. He will look to showcase his talent in absence of Mendis amd Gunathilaka
 
– Dhananjaya De Silva will bat next. De Silva was dropped after 1st game in T20s but will be an important pick in ODIs. Shanaka will follow him.
 
– Wanindu Hasaranga and Dhananjaya De Silva will be the spin options. Hasaranga has emerged as a very good Allrounder in the last year and half. 
 
– Isuru Udana, Dushmantha Chameera and B Fernando/Nuwan Pradeep will lead the pace attack. Chameera has been exceptional with the ball recently picking 9 Wickets against Bangladesh and 4 Wickets in last T20.
