Team News –
JAM
The Tallawahs finished fourth of six-teams despite the likes of Andre Russell, Carlos Brathwaite, Glenn Phillips with them. Phillips has been released by them this season.

– They have brought in Chris Green who lead the Guyana Amazon Warriors last season and let Glenn Phillips out.

– Haider Ali and Shamrah Brooks can open the Innings. Brooks is a 32 year old cricketer and can’t expect much from him. Haider ali has to prove his worth after a poor PSL recently.

– Jason Mohammad will bat next followed by Chadwick Walton. Walton will keep the Wickets.

– There are some chances of Rovman Powell opening the Innings along side Jason keeping Haider ali at 3.

– Andre Russell and Carlos Brathwaith the big guns will do the power hitting and will be crusial with ball as well.

– Qais Ahmed and Chris Green will lead the spin department.

– Andre Russell, Carlos Brathwaith, Miguel Pretorius and Fidel Edwards will lead the pace bowling.

SLK –
 – The Kings have retained seven of their players from last year’s squad and have appointed Faf du Plessis as the captain for the this season.

-They have made additions in the pace department in the form of Wahab Riaz, Alzarri Joseph and Keemo Paul who will replace Darren Sammy, Anrich Nortje and Scott Kuggeleijn. With Australia’s Matthew Wade pulling out of the tournament, Kings have roped in Singaporean Tim David.

 – Faf will be available for the opening game as hinted by the coach Andy Flower , however both Keemo Paul and Obed McCoy are still under doubt of playing.

– Andre Fletcher and Faf du Plessis will open. Faf was out of cricket from the PSL and will be looking for a strong return. Fletcher has been playing a lot of international cricket recently and is doing well.

– Rahkeem Cornwall and Roston Chase will bat 1 and 2 down resp. Both will be crusial with bat as well as bowl.

– Tim David will be given the role of late hitting. He has the ability to do it with ease.

– Usman Qadir , Roston Chase and Rahkeem Cornwall will likely be the spin attack.

– Obed McCoy, Alzarri Joseph, Wahab Riaz and Keemo Paul or Kesrick Williams will lead the pace bowling of the Kings.
