Team  News –
GUY –
– Guyana Amazon Warriors finished second at the points table during the last year’s edition. They lost to St. Lucia Kings in the semi-final. Under the leadership of Nicholas Pooran, the franchise would be aiming to win its first CPL title.

– Guyana started their season with a 9 wicket win against TKR and are looking very good for this one as well.

– Brandon King and Chandrapaul Hemraj will be the openers for Guyana. Both have been opening from last 2 seasons and have been successfull together. King struggled to score in last game with just 9 off 17 balls.

– Odean Smith batted 1 down last game. He is a bowler but was promoted as a pinch hitter in last game and scored 24.

– Shimron Hetmyer will bat at 2 down. Hetmyer no doubt is one of the players around who can hit the ball very clean. He scored 54 last game.

– Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik the legends of Pakistan will bat in middle. Both are very experienced and can contribute through both bat and bowl.

– Nicolas Pooran will bat next and will also keep the Wickets. He will look to give his best considering the IPL and t20 world cup very close.

– Imran Tahir, Ashmead Nedd/Kevin Sinclair will be the spin options with Guyana. Hemraj can also bowl some overs.

– Naveen ul haq, Romario Shepherd and Odean Smith will lead the pace attack.

SKN –
– St Kitts had a poor tournament last year where they won just 1 game out of 10 and were placed last. They started their season on a high with a 21 run win in 1st game.

– Ravi Bopara from England , Paul van Meekeren from Netherlands, Fawad Ahmed from Australia and Asif Ali from Pakistan are their new recruits this season.

– Devon Thomas and Evin lewis will open the innings. Both were out cheaply in last game. Thomas will keep the Wickets.

– Chris Gayle will bat at 1 down. Gayle needs no introduction and at age if 40+ is still one of the great.

– Sherfane Rutherford, Fabian Allen and DJ Bravo will provide the late hitting. All are excellent hitters.

– Fawad Ahmed and Fabian Allen will handle the spin department. Chris Gayle also will assist them.

– Rayad Emrit/Paul van Meekeren, Sheldon Cottrell, Dominic Drakes and DJ Bravo will be the pace attack of St Kitts.
