HUR –
– The Hurricanes won the last game against the the Thunders and are placed at #7 in the points table with 23 points.
– Matthew Wade and Aussie Test team Captain Tim Paine is back into the XI and will be a oart of playing XI.
– D’Arcy Short and Matthew Wade will open for the hurricanes. Short has the highest impact rate when it comes to the BBL and contributes through both bat and bowl , but haven’t been very effective this year while his partner Wade just smashes every ball he faces.
– McDermott will bat at 1 down. He has been one of the key players of the team this season and scored 397 runs in 9 games including match winning 96 last game.
– David Malan will bat 2 down. Malan is world’s best t20 batsman currently and has scored highest runs last year. He was out on 42 last game.
– Will Jack will bat 3 down. Jacks played in the initial stages for Hurricanes but was replaced by David Malan. He was back last game and opened but will bat in middle this game.
– Peter Handscomb/ Tim Paine will bat at 3 down. Paine can be crusial pick in case there is top order failure.
– Tim David will bat in middle order. David has been exceptional this BBL with a strike rate of 160+. He has been very consistent this season.
– Sandeep Lammichhane, D’Arcy Short will lead the spin attack for the hurricanes. Short took 3 Wickets in last 2nd game.
– Riley Meredith, Nathan Ellis, Scott Boland will be the 3 men pace attack of hurricanes.
SCO –
– The Scorchers won their last and are in a pretty good situation in the points table with 25 points and 3 games to go.
– Mitchell Marsh is back in the squad for the Scorchers. He will be in for Bancroft else no big changes are possible.
– Jason Roy and Liam Livingston will open the innings. Roy is a very attacking batsman but is inconsistent and going through a bad patch. His partner Livingston is also having a poor run.
– Colin Munro will bat at 1 down. He is one of the most attacking batsman in t20s and surprisingly has been very consistent this BBL with 353 runs.
– Wicket keeper Josh Inglis will bat at 2 down. Inglis bats with a excellent strike rate of 150+ but isn’t that consistent. He scored 25 last game.
– Mitchell Marsh will be Batting next followed by Ashton Turner .Turner is very important in that middle order with his SR of 134. Marsh is back after a short break.
– Fawad Ahmed the leggie will lead the spin attack. Liam Livingston and Ashton Turner can assist him.
– Jhye Richardson, Andrew Tye and Jason Behrendorff will be the pace attack of team. Marsh and Aaron Hardie will assist them.
