Team News –
REN –
– Melbourne Renegades have declared a 17 member squad for the encounter against Adelaide Strikers. Team will be led by Kane Richardson.
– Aaron Finch and Cameron Boyce will be unavailable for this game due to injuries.
– Mackenzie Harvey will open the Innings along with Sam Harper. Harper will keep the Wickets. Harvey smashed a brilliant 50 in last game against the same team.
– Jake Fraser McGurk will bat at 1 down followed by James Seymour. Both are talented cricketers, Seymour looked brilliant in his short stay in last game.
– Mohammad Nabi will bat in middle with Pattinson and Will Sutherland to follow. Team has a very weak middle order as there is no proper batsman after Nabi to rely on.
– Mohammad Nabi and Zahir Khan will be crusial with their spin for Renegades.
– James Pattinson, Kane Richardson and Reece Topley will lead the pace bowling of team. Will Sutherland will assist them.
STR –
– Adelaide Strikers have named a 13-player squad ahead of their first game against Renegades which is their first home game.
– Ryan Gibson has been ruled out of the game and Liam O Connor has replaced him in the squad.
– Jake Weatherald and Matthew Short will open for the Strikers. Weatherald had a stellar last season where he scored 400+ runs. Short is a attacking lad and can also bowl some off spin.
– Harry Nielsen will keep the Wickets and bat at 1 down. Haven’t got much chance to showcase his skills, scored run a ball 30 last game.
– Jono Wells and Daniel Drew will handle the middle school. Wells is an attacking and very consistent batsman.
– Rashid Khan will lead the spin attack. Matthew short can bowl a few overs if needed.
– George Garton, Peter Siddle, Wes Agar and Daniel Worrall will lead the pace attack of team.
