Team News –
REN –
– Melbourne Renegades have declared a 17 member squad for the opening encounter against Adelaide Strikers. Team will be led by Kane Richardson.

– Jono Merlo and James Seymour have joined the squad as replacement players, for Nic Maddinson and Shaun Marsh.Seymour scored brilliant 59 in one of the practice games.

– Aaron Finch will open the Innings along with Sam Harper. Finch the name is enough in t20s but had a very forgettable season last year. Harper will keep the Wickets.

– Mackenzie Harvey will bat at 1 down followed by Jake Fraser McGurk. Harvey scored brilliant 60 in warmup game. Both are young and attacking batsman.

– Mohammad Nabi will bat in middle with Pattinson and Will Sutherland to follow. Team has a very weak middle order as there is no proper batsman after Nabi to rely on.

– Cameron Boyce and Zahir Khan will be crusial with their spin for Renegades.

– James Pattinson, Kane Richardson and Reece Topley will lead the pace bowling of team. Will Sutherland/Jack Prestwidge whoever plays will join them.

STR –
– Adelaide Strikers have named a 13-player squad ahead of their first game against Renegades which is their away game.

– Peter Siddle will lead the Strikers in the absence of captain Travis Head and vice-captain Alex Carey, as they are on national duties.

– Daniel Drew can make his debut, he is a hard hitting batsman who won the Bradman medal in 2017.

– Jake Weatherald and Matthew Short will open for the Strikers. Weatherald had a stellar last season where he scored 400+ runs. Short is a attacking lad and can also bowl some off spin.

– Harry Nielsen will keep the Wickets and bat at 1 down. Haven’t got much chance to showcase his skills, have good chance in absence of Alex Carey.

– Jono Wells and Ryan Gibson will handle the middle school. Gibson is an attacking batsman and he showed the se in few innings last season.

– Rashid Khan will lead the spin attack. Matthew short can bowl a few overs if needed.

– George Garton, Peter Siddle, Wes Agar and Daniel Worrall will lead the pace attack of team.
