HEA –
– The Heat after loosing against Sydney Thunders last game have kept the same 14 member squad for their 2nd game against Perth Scorchers.
– Chris Lynn will open the innings along with young Max Bryant. Both struggled to score runs in Canberra but as this match is in Perth it will be a Batting paradise.
– Chris Lynn is a brilliant striker of the ball and is someone who can change the course of the game in a matter of a few overs. He averages staggering 49 with 584 runs against The Scorchers.
– Ben Duckett will bat at 1 down. Duckett has been scoring very freely recently and was amongst the top scorers in T20 blast. He was at his best last game where he scored 46 of 32 balls.
– Sam Heazlett will bat at 2 down followed by skipper Peirson . Heazlett is a gritty player and contributes in every game. Peirson will be crusial in case of top order failure.
– Mujeeb ur Rehman and Matt Kuhnemann will lead the spin attack of team.
– Jack Wildermuth, James Bazley Xavier Bartlett and Liam Guthrie will lead the pace attack of heat.
SCO –
– The Scorchers have declared a 13- member squad for their opening encounter of season against Brisbane Heat. Team will be led by Ashton Turner.
– Mitch Marsh and Josh Inglis are unavailable for selection, both flown to Brisbane for Australia A’s Test versus England Lions. They are likely to be available by 14th December.
– Laurie Evans and Colin Munro have joined the squad as foreign players. Both will play game against Brisbane Heat.
– Scorchers have 3-4 quality openers in the team, among them Laurie Evans and Colin Munro can open followed by Bancroft at 3 or can change the order depends on team management.
– Kurtis Patterson will bat at 2 down followed by Skipper Ashton Turner. Patterson is quite experienced of a cricketer but overall is below average when it comes to t20s. Turner is an important player in the middle, especially in absence of Mitchell Marsh.
– Aaron Hardie amd Ashton Agar will be the Allrounder in team. Hardie can strike the ball big.
– Ashton Agar and Peter Hatzoglou will lead the spin attack. Both are quality spinner, Hatzoglou’s left arm wrist spin took everyone woth surprise last season.
