– The Sixers, Champion’s of last BBL are up against the Stars in their opening game.
– Sixers have declared a 16 member squad for the opening encounter which consists of Tom Curran, James Vince and Chris Jordan as their foreign players.
– Josh Phillippe and James Vince will open the Innings. Both were among the top 3 leading runs scorers last season and will look to continue the same form.
– Daniel Hughes will bat at 1 down. He is one of the most experienced guy in the team.
– Jordan Silk and Moises Henriques will handle the middle order with Christian and Curran to follow.
– Henriques was performing good with ball in the IPL, he scored 77 with bat and also took 3 Wickets in warmup game. Christian was one of the star performer last season with 272 runs and 15 Wickets with ball.
– Steve O’Keefe and any 1 of Ben Maneti/Lloyd Pope will lead the spin section.
– Chris Jordan, Tom Curran, Sean Abbott and Daniel Christian will lead the pace attack of team.

– Melbourne Stars had a forgettable season last year where the were played 7th in the table with just 5 wins from 14 games.
– Team has declared a 14 member squad for their game against Sixers which will be lead by Glenn Maxwell.
– Joe Burns, Nathan Coulter Nile, B Stanlake and Qais Ahmed are not added in the squad for 1st game.
– Joe Clarke from England and Syed Faridoun from Pakistan are the foreign recruits this season for Melbourne.
– Joe Clarke and Marcus Stoinis will open the innings. Clarke is coming after taking the English domestic by storm. Stoinis scored around 400 runs last season. He didn’t bowled much this IPL.
– Nick Larkin who was excellent in last season with a average of 39 and SR of 127 will bat 1 down.
– Glenn Maxwell and Hilton Cartwright will bat in middle followed by Beau Webster. Maxwell is in form of his life being among the top scorers this IPL, was also impressive with ball.
– Adam Zampa, Glenn Maxwell and Left arm wrist spinner Syed Faridoun will lead the spin attack.
– Sam Rainbird, B Couch will lead the pace attack of team. Couch picked 3 Wickets in warmup game.
