– Hurricanes have declared a 15 member squad for the 1st game against Sixers which will be lead by Matthew Wade.
– Ben McDermott and Riley Meredith are not part of the 1st game due to injuries while English pair of Harry Brook and Jordan Thompson will also be not available for the 1st game. Jordan Cox and Tom Lammonby have replaced them and are available for selection.
– Matthew Wade and D’Arcy Short will open the innings. Both are one of the best opening pair in BBL and attacks from word go. Wade will also keep the Wickets.
– Caleb Jewell will bat at 1 down as Ben McDermott is not part of squad. Decent batsman scores a bit slow. Peter Handscomb will follow Jewell and will be an important player in that middle order.
– Hard hitting Tim David will bat in middle with English Allrounder Tom Lammnoby to accompany him if makes his debut. Both are very aggressive hitters and can be promoted if needed.
– Sandeep Lammichhane, Tom Lammonby will lead the spin attack. Tom Andrews if plays will join them.
– Nathan Ellis, Joel Paris and Joshua Kann will lead the pace attack of team. Kann if tall fast bowler who can make his BBL debut for hurricanes.
SIX –
– The defending champions started their 2021 season with a massive 152 runs win against Melbourne Stars. Josh Phillippe and Moises Henriques were highest scorers with bat while Steve O’Keefe and Sean Abbott were excellent with bowl.
– Josh Phillippe and James Vince will open the Innings. Both were among the top 3 leading runs scorers last season and will look to continue the same form. Both started in attacking fashion with Phillippe went on to score 83.
– Moises Henriques will bat at 1 down. He is one of the most experienced guy in the team and is in very good form, he scored 76 last game.
– Jordan Silk and Daniel Hughes will handle the middle order with Christian and Curran to follow.
– Steve O’Keefe will lead the spin section. Ben Maneti if plays according to pitch conditions will be important pick.
– Chris Jordan, Tom Curran, Sean Abbott and Daniel Christian will lead the pace attack of team. Hayden Kerr if plays will assist them.
