Team News –
AUS –
– The Aussies were in a commendable position to win the last game but didn’t win it due to some heroics from Vihari and Ashwin.
– Australia have announced their XI for the last test at the gabba with just Marcus Harris coming in for Injured Will Pucovski.
– David Warner and Marcus Harris will open for the Aussies. Warner in not someone to introduce however has a poor record when it comes to Ashwin who has picked warner 11 times of 19 innings. Harris will finally get a game after 2 strong Sheffield games last year.
– Marnus Labuschagne will bat at 1 down. Labuschagne’s rise has been a huge positive for Australia. He currently averages 69.41 in 17 Tests till date and scored 73 and 91 in both the innings last test.
– Mr Consistent Steven Smith will bat 2 down. Smith’s record against India is nothing short of incredible, with 1651 runs in 13 Tests and Scored 131 and 81 in 2 innings last game.
– Matthew Wade and Tim Paine will bat in middle followed by Young Cameron Green who has a brilliant last game scoring 84 runs.
– Nathan Lyon will be the lone spinner for Australia. He has an excellent record against India especially against Pujara whom he has picked 10 times in 26 innings.
– Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins and Josh Hazelwood will lead the pace attack. All three pacers were bowling their hearts out in the last test with Cummins taking 4 Wickets in the 1st innings.
IND –
– Team India did one of the most historic draws ever in last test at Sydney with Hanuma Vihari scoring 23* of 161 balls and Ravi Ashwin scoring 39 of 128 balls. Pujara , Rohit and Pant also gave their valuable contribution with 77, 52 and 97 respectively.
– Hanuma Vihari, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the last test while Condition of Ashwin is still critical. Washington Sundar and Shardul Thakur will play this game.
– Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill will open for India. Gill proved why he is the better choice as an opener scoring 50 in 1st innings and 31 in 2nd. Rohit will be the most important player in this test with 52 in 2nd innings last test.
– Mr Consistent Cheteshwar Pujara will bat at 1 down. Pujara was the highest scorer when India toured Australia in 2019 and played a class innings of 77 of 205 balls which played a major role in saving the test.
– Ajinkya Rahane will bat at 2 down for India. Rahane has played his part in the series scoring ton in 2nd game but will have to play a big role in this game with series on the line.
– Rishab Pant will bat next along with Wriddhiman Saha who will keep the Wickets. Pant played one of his best innings in test cricket of 97 last game. If Saha plays he will be the one keeping Wickets.
– Ravi Ashwin/Kuldeep Yadav and Washington Sundar will lead the spin attack of India. Ashwin had a impactful series but he is very unlikely to play this game. Sundar will play a crucial role with both bat and bowl.
– Navdeep Saini, Shardul Thakur and Mohammad Siraj will lead the pace attack of India. All three are very inexperienced.

Pitch Report –
The Gabba, Brisbane
The Gabba wicket is pretty balanced with something in it for both the batters and bowlers. The pitch, however, seems to have a little extra in place for spinners as compared to pacers
