– The Aussies will be starting as favorates in the test series even though David Warner has injured himself. They haven’t yet declared their XI yet.
– For Australia Marcus Harris/Joe Burns and Matthew Wade will likely open the innings. Wade has poor record in tests when it comes to open the innings, however his t20 form can be good advantage.
– Marnus Labuschagne will bat at 1 down. Labuschagne’s rise has been a huge positive for Australia. He currently averages 63.23 in 14 Tests till date and is ranked in top 5 test players.
– Mr Consistent Steven Smith will bat 2 down. Smith’s record against India is nothing short of incredible, with 1,429 runs in 10 Tests at an average over 85.
– Travis Head and Tim Paine will bat in middle followed by Young Cameron Green who has a brilliant AusA vs IndA game scoring a century and picking 3 Wickets.
– Nathan Lyon will be the lone spinner for Australia. He has an excellent record at Adelaide with 50 Wickets in just 9 games.
– Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins and Josh Hazelwood will lead the pace attack.

– Team India have announced their XI for the Adelaide Day/Night test in which Shaw was preferred over Shubhman Gill.
– Mayank Agrawal and Prithvi Shaw will open for Indian. Mayank has established himself as the no 1 opener choice while Shaw was chosen over Gill for the 1st test who is a hit miss type.
– Mr Consistent Cheteshwar Pujara will bat at 1 down. Pujara was the only highest scorer when India toured Australia in 2019 where he scored 3 tons in 4 tests.
– Virat Kohli will bat at 2 down. Virat needs no introduction especially when it comes to his favourite format. He Averages 72 at the Adelaide with 3 tons.
– Ajinkya Rahane and Hanuma Vihari will handle the middle order for India. Both Rahane and Vihari were in good form in the India A games. Vihari can also bowl some off spin.
– Wriddhiman Saha will keep the Wickets and bat next followed by Ashwin. Ashwin will be the lone spinner for India.
– Umesh Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami will lead the pace attack of India.
