Team News –
KXIP –
– Punjab have won just 1 game from their 4 games and are in quite a situation now with 6 wins required in their next 10 games. They have best opening pair in this IPL but a very weak middle order and poor death bowling.
– KXIP will surely make few changes in their lineups . Chris Jordan will likely replace Jimmy Neesham who has been totally flop while Mandeep can replace underperforming Sarfaraz Khan.
– Glenn Maxwell, Nicolas Pooran and Sheldon Cottrell, Chris Jordan will be their likely 4 foreign players to start.
– Rahul will open with Mayank Agrawal. Both have played from Karnataka in domestic circuit and knows each other quite well. Both are leading scorers this season and are must have choices.
– Nicolas Pooran will bat at 1 down. He is a exciting talent and has the ability to clear the fence with ease. He scored quickfire 44 runs of 27 balls last game.
– Karun Nair and Glenn Maxwell will bat 2 down and 3 down respectively. Their middle order even with Maxwell is looking very weak as maxxi is fully out if form.
– Sarfaraz/Mandip will play the role of finisher along with Krishnappa Gowtham. Gowtham scored 22 last game.
– K Gowtham, Ravi Bishnoi and Glenn Maxwell will lead the spin attack. Bishnoi was quite expensive last game .
– Mohammad Shami, Chris Jordan and Sheldon Cottrell will lead the pace attack. Jordan is a very good death bowler.
CSK –
– After starting the IPL on a winning note CSK lost their all 3 games and are placed at the bottom of the table. Bravo played last game but didn’t had that impact he always does. CSK is having a very weak batting with watson not firing and Dhoni as always denoting himself.
– Shane Watson, Faf Du Plessis, Sam Curran and DJ Bravo will be their likely 4 foreign players.
– Shane Watson and Faf Du Plessis will open the innings. Watson has been in his worst form this season but us just a innings away from scoring big. Faf is the only positive for CSK this season who has been scoring in every game.
– Ambati Rayudu will bat at 1 down. Rayudu was back after injury last game was out quickly but will be the most important player of CSK.
– Kedar Jadhav and MSD will bat at 3 and 4 down respectively. Kedar is not contributing through bowl this season. Kedar has been in poor form .
– Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran will do the late hitting for CSK. Both Curran and Jaddu can be promoted. Jaddu scored 50 last game.
– Ravindra Jadeja and Piyush Chawla will be the spinners for CSK . Both the spinners have been out of form this season.
– Deepak Chahar, Sam Curran, Shardul Thakur and DJ Bravo will handle the pace attack. Chahar and Bravo will bowl in death.
