Team News –
KKR –
– KKR lost their last game against DC and now are in a must win situation. From their remaining 7 games they need to win atleast 6 games for any chance of making to the playoffs.
– Team can make some big changes to the Batting order who is not firing at all. Shubman Gill is very likely to get dropped, Venkatesh Iyer or Karun Nair can play for him.
– Team’s likely foreign players will be Eoin Morgan, Andre Russell, Pat Cummins and Sunil Narine/Lochie Ferguson.
– Shubham Gill/Venkatesh Iyer/Karun Nair and Nitish Rana will open the Innings. Gill has been completed out of form this series and is unable to middle the ball, he scored 43 last game but is very high chances that he will be dropped thos game.
– Young Tripathi will bat at 1 down. He is a aggressive player and was brilliant in 1st game where he scored 59 runs but is very inconsistent.
– Captain Morgan will bat at 2 down followed by Dinesh Karthik. Morgan is having a disastrous IPL this year and haven’t crossed even 100 run mark in his 7 games played.
– Andre Russell will bat next and play the role of finisher. He smashed 47 of just 27 balls with 4 massive sixes against DC but is Batting very low according to his standards.
– Varun Chakravarthy, Sunil Narine/Harbhajan Singh will handle the spin section. Varun is bowling in powerplay in all games.
– Pat Cummins, Shivam Mavi/Prasidh Krishna/Lochie Ferguson and Andre Russell will lead the pace attack.
RCB –
– RCB are in a very strong position in the IPL this season with 5 wins in 7 games and are looking clear favorates to win this contest.
– Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson both will not be available for rest of the IPL as they have went back to Australia.
– Scott Kuggeleijn the bowling Allrounder from New Zealand haa been roped in as a replacement for Kane Richardson and is available for selection this game.
– Virat Kohli will open along with Devdutt Padikkal. Paddikal has been in red hot form in Syed Mushtaq as well as Vijay Hazare trophy and scored his maiden ton last 2nd game against RR but failed to score in other 2. Virat is looking slightly rusty but is a big player and can score anyday.
– Rajat Patidar will bat at 1 down. Rajat showed his class in last 2 games scoring a brilliant 31 in both innings. He is a brilliant player of spin.
– Glenn Maxwell will bat at 2 down followed by AB De Villiers at 5. Maxwell has been brilliant in the 1st 3 games so far being team’s highest run getter but failed to score big in other 4 games.
– Kyle Jamieson along with Washington Sunder will play the role of Allrounders. Daniel Sams is also a very strong hitter of the ball.
– Yuzi Chahal and Washington Sundar/Shahbaz Ahmed will handle the spin section. Glenn Maxwell can assist them with his off spin.
– Kyle Jamieson, Harshal Patel, Mohammad Siraj and Daniel Sams will be the pace attack of RCB. Harshal first time this IPL went wicketless last game.
