Team News –
CSK –
– Chennai Super Kings the giants of IPL led by the Captain himself Mahendra Singh Dhoni won their last game very convincingly after loosing the 1st game. Team will most likely go unchanged.
– Lungi Ngidi came out of quarantine and is available for selection. He can play this game in place of DJ Bravo.
– Expected four foreign players will be Faf Du Plessis, Sam Curran, Moeen Ali and DJ Bravo/Lungi Ngidi.
– Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf Du Plessis will open for CSK. Uthappa was traded from Rajasthan Royals and was in brilliant touch in domestic season while Ruturaj who was preferred over Uthappa due to his brilliant end to the last season. Gaikwad failed in both the games but still will be preferred over Uthappa.
– Moeen Ali batted at 1 down in both the games and batted with a attacking approach scoring 36 and 46 runs in 2 games.
– Suresh Raina was shifted at 2 down from his trademark no 3 position and scored brilliant 50.
– Ambati Rayudu will bat next at 3 down followed by MS Dhoni. Dhoni is out from International Cricket so will be a bit rusty but was hitting the ball good in the practice games. He was out on duck in 1st game and didn’t bat in last.
– Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran will bat next followed by DJ Bravo. Curran is an excellent hitter of the ball and smashed 35 off 15 in the 1st game.
– CSK bat’s quite deep even Shardul Thakur and Deepak Chahar can hit the ball big.
– Ravindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali will be the spin options with the team.
– Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, DJ Bravo/Ngidi and Sam Curran will be the likely pace attack of CSK.
RR –
– Royals won a thriller contest against the DC last game thanks to some brilliant Hitting by Chris Morris.
– Team Premium Allrounder Ben Stokes has been ruled out of the entire IPL which is a very big blow for the Royals.
– Teams likely 4 foreign players will be Jos Buttler, Chris Morris, Mustafizur Rahman and Dawid Miller.
– Manan Vohra and Jos Buttler will most likely open the innings. Buttler haven’t fired yet but is a world class Batsman and can fire any day.
– Captain Sanju Samson will bat at 1 down. Sanju looked good at the initial stages of the last season but was not consistent. He scored a brilliant ton in 1st game but was out cheaply on 4 in last game.
– Dawid Miller and Riyan Parag will bat in middle. Miller was excellent in last game scoring 63 last game.
– Chris Morris, Rahul Tewatia and Newly Recruit Shivam Dube will form a solid middle order and contribute through both bat and bowl.
– Rahul Tewatia and Riyan Parag will handle the spin department.
– Chris Morris, Chetan Sakariya, Jaydev Unadkat and Mustafizur Rahman will form the pace attack of Rajasthan.
