Team News –
MI –
– Mumbai Indians the 5 time champions lost the 1st game of IPL but came strong in next game against KKR making a 1-1 win loss this IPL.
– Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock will open the game. Rohit is going through a golden patch of form. De kock was out cheaply last game and also has a very poor record at Chennai with just 26 runs in 5 games.
– Surya Kumar Yadav will bat at 1 down. Surya has been excellent form last 2-3 years scoring consistently 400+ in every season. He was out after scoring a fine 54 last game.
– Ishan Kishan will bat at 2 down. Ishan was team highest scorer last season and also got a chance in the national team where he scored a 50 on debut. He was out on duck last game.
– Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya followed by Big Kieron Pollard will be the Allrounders for MI. Hardik haven’t bowled in 1st 2 games now.
– Rahul Chahar and Krunal Pandya will lead the spin attack. Chahar was excellent last game picking 4 Wickets.
– Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult, Hardik Pandya and Marco Jenson will lead the pace bowling. Pollard will assist them.
SRH –
– Sunrisers lost both their games due to some weak Batting performance. Manish Pandey scored good runs in both games but at a very slow rate which was one of the major reasons of being on the loosing side.
– Team’s middle order is looking very weak so they have a best man for this situation Kane Williamson who will most likely be in the XI this game.
– Team’s likely 4 foreign players will be David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, Rashid Khan, Jason Holder/Kane Williamson.
– David Warner and Wriddhiman Saha/Jonny Bairstow will open the innings. Warner as always has been very consistent last year also scoring 500+ runs and also averages 45+ against MI.
– Manish Pandey will bat at 1 down. Pandey was brilliant last last season scoring 400+ runs and also scored good runs in 1st 2 games but at a very slow rate.
– Jonny Bairstow/Kane Williamson will bat at 2 down followed by Vijay Shankar at 5. Jonny can open this game making way for Consistent Kane in the middle.
– Abdul Samad and Jason Holder will handle the lower middle order. Samad is known for his aggressive hitting and can also bowl some leg spin.
– Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi the Afghani Pair will lead the spin attack. Shahbaz Nadeem was very economical last game also picked a Wicket.
– Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan and Sandeep Sharma /Jason Holder will be leading the pace attack.
