Team News –
NZW –
– The White Ferns looked very weak against the Aussies in last game both with bat as well as bowl, except Jess Kerr who was swinging the ball at the start of innings picking both the openers no bowler looked like picking the Wickets.
– Sophie Devine and Hayley Jensen will open the innings. Jensen opened last series but scored just a 50 in 1st game and was flop in other games. Devine was struggling to time the ball and was out on 17 off 22 balls in the last game.
– Amy Sattherwaite will bat at 1 down. Amy is team most experienced Cricketer and her form will decide the fate of their team. She scored 40 runs in last game.
– Amelia Kerr and Brooke Halliday will handle the middle order. Brooke Halliday was very impressive last series with both bat and bowl but was demoted very low last game.
– Keeper Katey Martin and Frances Mackay will follow Kerr and Halliday.
– Amelia Kerr and F Mackay will lead the spin section for New Zealand.
– Jess Kerr, Sophie Devine, Hayley Jensen and Rosemary Mair will be the pace options with the team.
AUSW –
– The Aussies started the T20 series with a brilliant 6 wicket win over the White Ferns. Bowling first theu restricted the Devine led team for 130 and then it was a easy chase in the 18th over by the Aussies.
– Ellyse Perry didn’t bowled last game but can bowl this game a few overs.
– Allysa Healy and Beth Mooney will open the Innings. Both are very attacking batters and are among the top 5 t20 batters. Both were out cheaply on single digit scores last game but can fire this game.
– Captain Lanning will bat at 1 down. She is among the best batters in white ball Cricket and is in red hot form scoring 450+ runs in WBBL 2020. She scored 28 last game and looking in brilliant touch.
– Ashleigh Gardner and Rachel Haynes will bat in middle. Gardner attacks from word go while Haynes is technically strong. Gardner was the man of the match for her attacking 73 run knock last game.
– Ellyse Perry will bat next followed by Jess Jonassen and Nicola Carey.
– Georgia Wareham and Jess Jonassen will handle the spin section. Ashleigh Gardner can assist them.
– Megan Shutt, Tayla Vlaeminck and Nicola Carey will lead the pace attack. Ellyse Perry didn’t bowled in last game.
