Team News –
South Africa Women –
– South Africa Women won the ODI series with a 3-0 margin and are clear favorates to win the T20 Series as well. Marizanne Kapp and Mignon du Preez who didn’t played last ODI game will be back this game.
– Laura Wolvaardt and hard hitting Lizelle Lee will open for South Africa. Wolvaardt is the most experienced player in the team and is very consistent however her partner is quite inconsistent. Wolvaardt scored 58 and Lee 49 last ODI game.
– Captain Sune Luus will likely bat 1 down. She has proved her worth in the team with both bat and bowl. Young Lara Goodall will bat 2 down. She looked good with 27 and 26 in 2 games in ODI series.
– Mignon Du Preez and Nadine De Klerk followed by Marizanne Kapp will hold the middle order. Kapp was the man of the series for her 2 50+ scores and 3 Wickets.
– Trisha Chetty will bat next and keep the Wickets. She will most likely not get much chance to bat due to strong top order.
– N Mlaba and Sune Luus will handle spin for South Africa. Luss took 3 Wickets in last game.
– Shabnim Ismail, Ayabonga Khaka and Marizanne Kapp will be leading the pace attack. Nadine De Klerk will assist them.
Pakistan Women –
– Pakistan women lost the ODIs series against South Africa and now are on for the T20 series which would also be a tough time for the Pakistani team.
– Nahida Khan and Javeria Khan will open for Pakistan. Nahida was highest scorer this Triangular series but failed in ODI series. Javeria is a ace player of team and scored 33 in last ODI
– Omaima Sohail and Nida Dar will handle the middle order. Omaima is one of the finest batsman for Pakistan but is going through a very bad patch. Nida Dar will contribute through both bat and bowl.
– Aliya Riaz and Fatima Sana will bat next and can be promoted due to their hitting ability. Riaz smashed 81 runs in 2nd ODI game.
– Anam Amin, N Sandhu and Nida Dar will bowl spin for Pakistan. Sandhu took 2 while both Nida Dar and Anam Amin shared 1 Wicket each in last ODI.
