Team News –
STA –
– The Stars won a brilliant contest against the Strikers by a massive margin of 111 runs. Zampa was the star of the show with 5 Wickets.
– Andre Fletcher will open the innings for the stars along with Marcus Stoinis. Fletcher after a string of bad performances smashed 89 runs last game.
– Nick Larkin will bat at 1 down. Larkin had a brilliant last year with 2 50+ scores in 4 games but haven’t got much chance to play this season. He batted lower down the order last game.
– Glenn Maxwell will bat at 2 down followed by Nic Maddinson. Maxwell is also bowling good number of overs. Maxi smashed 37 runs last game.
– Hilton Cartwright will bat next. Cartwright has been brilliant so far contributing with both bat and bowl but haven’t converted his scores into a big one.
– Adam Zampa, Zahir Khan and Glenn Maxwell will lead the spin attack for the Stars. Zampa took 5 while both Maxi and Zahir Khan 2 Wickets each last game.
– Billy Stanlake, Haris Rauf, Sam Rainbird/Liam Hatcher will handle the pace attack.
REN –
– Melbourne Renegades are having even worst outing than last season with just 2 win in their 10 games. They are already out of the competition race so can play freely and make some changes in the team.
– Aaron Finch/M Harvey will open the Innings along with Shaun Marsh. Finchy hasn’t been on his best this BBL but is a quality batsman and can play big anyday. He demoted himself to no 4 last game and Harvey opened.
– Young Sam Harper will bat at 1 down. Harper attacks from the very 1st ball and but has been very inconsistent. He will also keep the Wickets.
– Jake Frazer and Beau Webster will bat in middle followed by Imad Wasim. Both Imad and Webster will contribute through both bat and bowl. Jake Frazer played very good innings in limited opportunity he got.
– Noor Ahmad and Imad Wasim will be handling the spin duties. Hatzoglou was brilliant last game where he picked 2 Wicket and was very economical.
– Kane Richardson, Jack Prestwidge will be leading the pace attack. Both took 1 Wicket each last game.
