– Brisbane Heat lost their last game against the hurricanes by a controversial decision of run out by the 3rd umpire.
– Heat have strengthened their squad by the addition of English Allrounder Joe Denly and National Test player Joe Burns.
– Sam Heazlett and Max Bryant will open the innings. Both were looking very good with 48 and 34 runs respectively last game 2nd game but are very inconsistent.
– Joe Denly will bat in the middle order. Denly will contribute through both bat and off spin bowl.
– Tom Cooper/Joe will bat at 3 down for the Heat. He has a lot of experience with him. Jack Wildermuth will follow cooper who is known for his big hitting.
– Jimmy Peirson will bat next and will keep the Wickets. Pierson scored a brilliant 69 of just 36 balls last 2nd game.
– Mujeeb Rahman will lead the spin attack. Joe Denly can assist him. Mujeeb took 5 Wickets last game.
– Xavier Bartlett/Mark Stekette , Ben Laughlin and Jack Wildermuth will handle the pace attack. Lewis Gregory and James Bazley will assist them.
SIX –
– The defending champions are right at the top of the table with winning back to back thrillers 1st against the Stars and last game against the Renegades.
– Teams bowling has been more boosted by the arrival of Jackson Bird and English bowler Jake Ball.
– Josh Philippe and Jack Edwards will open for Sixers. Phillipe was the third-leading run-getter in BBL last season with 487 runs and scored 95 in 2nd game. Edwards is hit or miss player.
– James Vince will bat 1 down. Vince is a quality Batsman who is very consistent but haven’t looked good this season with just 1 50+ score.
– Daniel Hughes and Jordan Silk will bat at 2 and 3 down respectively. Both have played over 50 games for the franchise and are very experienced. Hughes smashed his career best 96 runs in just 51 balls last 2nd game.
– Daniel Christian and Carlos Brathwaith will handle the allround duties. Brathwaith took 10 Wickets in the CPL2020 but was out of form with the bat and is not getting much batting here either.
– Steve O Keefe will lead the spin attack. O Keefe took 2 Wickets last game while Maneti was substituted for Sandhu.
– Ben Dwarshius, Jake Ball, Dan Christian, Jackson Bird and Carlos Brathwaith will be the pace attack for Sixers with Dwarshius and Christian are bowling in the death.
